FLUXone Carbon

Plant for the production of hydrochar

Hydrochar from organic residues – decentralized, efficient and low in emissions

The FLUXone Carbon plant converts organic waste, fermentation residue or sewage sludge directly into hydrochar - as a climate-friendly substitute for fossil fuels. The hydrochar is a product that can be used in different forms - for example, pulverized coal, pellets or briquetts - to generate heat through combustion or gasification.

The system is designed for material flows with a dry substance content of approx. 30 % and is fully automatic. It can be flexibly integrated into existing infrastructures as a compact container solution or indoor system.

FLUXone Carbon turns waste into a valuable energy source.

  • Economical production of synthetic coal substitute from residual materials

  • Compact container solution
  • Wide range of applications: Wood dust firing, district heating systems, industrial heat generation, and gasification systems

Process & functionality

The plant is based on a thermochemical process in which organic materials are converted into hydrochar and residual heat is released at the same time.

Preparation

Organic residues are homogenized in the preparation tank and conditioned for the process.

Carbonization

Through precise temperature control in two heated reactors, hydrochar is produced with an energy content comparable to lignite.

Drying & discharge

Based on the downstream processing requirements, the hydrochar is dried in a mixing dryer to achieve a dry matter content between 85 % and
95 %.

The hydrochar produced can be used directly in heating systems, gasification plants or industrial processes.

Optimally integrated:

The FLUXone Carbon system can be seamlessly integrated into existing operating environments - whether in industry, municipalities (municipal heat planning), agriculture or waste disposal.

The system diagram shows an example of how the hydrochar and process heat produced can be used for energy generation, reconversion or soil improvement.

This makes FLUXone Carbon the interface between waste recycling, energy generation and CO₂-storage.

Our energy has a future.
